Hemel Hempstead is a town located 24 miles Northwest of London. The population (per the 2011 census) was 94.932. It is part of the borough of Dacorum and the Hemel Hempstead constituency. The Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead is Mike Penning (Conservative) and the council is also run by the Conservative Party.
The town is well situated by M1/M25 intersection with easy access to both by car.
Hemel Hempstead train station serves trains to London Euston (28 minutes) via various stops on the way including Watford Junction.
The town has numerous leisure facilities including a cinema, ice skating rink as well as an indoor ski slope. There are also various sporting facilities including football, cricket and rugby including parks and play areas. In addition there are many golf clubs (both public and private nearby).
